The man who introduced American Muscle to Formula D
The drift scene as you see it today hasn’t always been the way that you see it. Back in the day, American muscle didn’t really have a place in the scenery that was naturally clad with machines that would roll off of the assembly line in Japan, not America.
This time, we catch up with the man who thinks that he inspired the influx of American muscle cars into the world of Formula Drift and we have no problem believing him. There were a couple before him, according to the comments section of this video, but it could be argued that Vaughn Gittin Jr really pushed the movement.
“Vaughn Gittin Jr started out of his garage and quickly rose through the ranks winning several competitions and proving the legitimacy of American muscle in the sport of drifting.”
It’s always good to see a success story rise in front of your eyes and Gittin’s love story with the Ford Mustang as he rose through the ranks with it is one that we think that you will want to hear.
