The Mighty E-3 Sentry AWAC at RAF Landing in Waddington

When it comes to plane spotting, this group of hobbyists has to have one of the most adrenaline pumping pastimes that exists as they put themselves right in the seat of the action.

These ladies and gentlemen head right to the beginning of a runway to watch as planes come in directly over their head and this time, it’s a mighty E-3 Sentry coming in for landing.

This airplane is mighty unique, as perched on top, we see a massive radar arch designed to be used by multiple air defense units for all-weather surveillance, command, control, and communications.
