The Russian Built 8×8 Off-Road Truck You Can Take Literally Anywhere
With 2020 going the way that it is, it might not be long before we’re living in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. All jokes aside, even if we don’t end up imploding as a society, it would be pretty cool to have a toy that could go anywhere at the drop of a hat as it takes on just about any terrain.
This time, we get a chance to check out exactly that creation as the Shaman 8X8 ATV really appears to be just about unstoppable. With power going to all eight wheels and independent suspension, the machine is showcased in this one plowing its way through a variety of obstacles from mud and grass to the water. While the machine is capable of doing just over 40 mph on land, when taking the beast to the water, it still manages to hold its own. Not only can the rig float but it also can put along at about 3 mph as well – not exactly a speed demon but if duty calls, the capability is there.
Should you manage to get this thing stuck, there’s also a winch on board and crab mode in case drivers are in a particularly challenging situation. Needless to say, the 8×8 looks like the ultimate adventure vehicle for those who have a lot of land at their disposal and need a vehicle that can tackle it all.
By following along with the video below, we get an inside look at the 8X8 and it flexes its muscles just a little bit to show us what can happen with power to that many wheels. If we had to summarize the Shamn in a couple of words, we would say that it’s almost like a tank except on wheels.
Last but not least, what good is adventuring or surviving the apocalypse if you can’t take your friends with you? The machine boasts enough seating for 12 people!
