This 3D Printed Automatic Transmission Model is Badass
In and age, you can construct just about anything with a 3D printer and a good design. In order to put something complex together, you really need to know what you’re doing, though, to make that design work. This time, we check out a really neat 3D printed model that makes a lot of concepts come together in one.
What we’re looking at here is none other than a miniature 3D printed transmission that is complete with multiple gears and even includes overdrive and reverse to really kick the authenticity up a little bit as this rendering hops out of a computer and comes to life.
Not only is the construction process that went into creating something like this impressive but, when you take a look at how it all works, this design could be used to help you more easily understand how exactly an automatic transmission functions. There’s nothing like a good visual to help you understand a complex piece of the equation like this.
Check out the video down below as the 3D printed transmission comes to life and the creator of it explains how it all works. What do you think of this useful model that literally came from nothing as it was spit out of the printer and assembled to what you see here?
