This Guy’s Temporary Easy Exhaust Fix is Almost Too Easy…
When it comes to fixing a car, there are a lot of ways to do one job many times. Some might argue that one way is superior to another and others might just try and do the cheapest thing possible to get the job done. In this case, we’re looking at something that falls into another category entirely in one of those temporary repairs that might just get you home, but afterward, you’re going to want to try and address it as soon as humanly possible. I think that, in the scheme of things, we will all do something like this every once in a while when something isn’t necessarily dangerous enough to warrant a full repair on the spot but also isn’t good enough to be limped back home.
Let’s just say that you’re driving an older vehicle and rust is an issue. Should you find a hole in your exhaust, it cannot only be embarrassing to be driving around in a car that’s screaming while it shouldn’t be but, it can also draw the wrong kind of attention as an excessively loud car might just get you pulled over and ticketed. It sounds like something that you’d think would be excusable but, believe it or not, there’s a good chance that you might get cited for the infraction. Therefore, you’re going to want to do something to fix it up in a hurry if you can’t necessarily come up with the time or money on the spot to get your exhaust fixed.
This time, we’re showing a little quick and dirty method to making sure that that sound is contained and it involves using nothing more than a soda can and a couple of coat hangers. I’m not necessarily sure that we can recommend doing something like this to your own car, but it’s definitely worth the watch to have in mind for if you should find yourself in such a pinch. After checking it out, be sure to tell us if this is something that you would do to your vehicle in any situation.
