This is how a no-fly zone actually gets enforced

You know that when a no-fly zone is implemented, there is some serious business going on. For one reason or another, the possibility of an aircraft entering such a zone is so dangerous that an authority closes it off altogether. If you dare to enter, it might prove to be a bad choice on your behalf.

The perfect example of such an instance was when the United States implemented one of these zones over Libya in the year 2011, but how does one go about making sure that such a restriction is enforced? That is an awfully large span of real estate to cover.
