Time Lapse Shows How A British Airways 787-9 Dreamliner Is Built
It’s strange how, in our lives, we come across so many amazing objects and sometimes, might even take them for granted. I mean, for all of those who have had the opportunity to ride aboard an airplane, how many of us have actually sat there and thought about all the hard work and effort that has gone into making these things come together from the process of engineering all the way to the assembly and even the maintenance that has to be done between each and every flight? I can guarantee that not too many folks have taken these things into consideration all.
In this one, we do actually take the opportunity to slow down and think a little bit, tackling a plane that has been built to impress in the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, a passenger plane that rings up the price tag to the tune of nearly $300 million and can carry in the ballpark of 300 people through the sky. Needless to say, it’s a machine that dreams are certainly made of as the name infers and that might really lead you to wonder what goes into bringing something like this together. Let’s just say that the process is certainly no small job, to say the least.
If you follow along with the video below, you’ll get an idea of the start to finish on what something like this looks like when attempting to start from scratch all the way through the final polishing touches. Now, we’re sure that a timelapse like this makes it all look easy but there are countless hours of planning and necessary execution that go into to bringing something like this to life but at least this one gives you a small peek into the life of someone who is responsible for making such a massive and heavy machine take flight.
