Turbo S10 Loses Brakes and Parachute, Goes Airborne After Race

In the course of a drag race, there are a lot of parts that need to come together just right. If one thing fails, it could be a slow pass or a dangerous one, maybe a combination of both. In pretty much every situation, we would probably rather have the former. However, every once in a while, something goes wrong that really causes the situation to get a little bit sketchy. The reaction is key in these scenarios.

This time, right in the thick of things is a turbocharged Chevrolet S10. It really looks like this truck makes plenty of power and it’s definitely a handful for the competition. On this particular pass, though, it turns out that the driver ends up having a little bit of a struggle with the truck.

Once the driver behind the wheel of the S10 begins to get on the brakes, eventually, he learns that he’s going to have to deal with a little bit of trouble. As the pedal provides no response, it turns out that all that is left to do is try to steer this thing into the best possible scenario. It doesn’t really help matters that it looks like the parachute failed to deploy as well.

In a split second that this driver had to decide, he made the choice to send the truck into a mound of dirt. This managed to send the vehicle airborne and it certainly couldn’t have felt good. Honestly, this one could’ve gotten incredibly nasty. This guy is really lucky that he ended up making it out alright.
