Unveil of the twin turbo Hoonicorn V2 in all it’s glory! Ken Block’s Climbkhana: Pikes Peak
When it comes to iconic cars and displays of driving, you can really count on Ken Block and the Hoonigan crew to come through in the clutch to bring you some pretty amazing stuff. We’ve watched as this camp has given birth to the likes of Gymkhana and the Hoonicorn and just when you thought that it couldn’t get any better, another version of the Hoonicorn comes rolling to life with an even more impressive version of Gymkhana that brings the skill to a new level.
With a set of twin turbos and a 410-cubic-inch powerplant that’s being fed 21 psi of boost, the car screams to life to the tune of 1400hp and when we say that it screams, we aren’t exaggerating one single bit. This thing sings the symphony of the heavens when Block lays into the long, skinny pedal and gives the monster some juice.
In this one, we check out exactly what 1400 twin turbo’d horsepower is really capable of as Block unleashes some punishment on the tires, turning the hard, black rubber to soft, puffy white clouds of smoke in no time flat as he rips around one heck of a hill climb, sliding around corners to an astonishing 14,000-ft of elevation in a work of art that they’re calling “Climbkhana.” It’s really amazing what you can accomplish with that kind of power and driving ability when they collide on such an amazing driving road.
Check out the video below that teases the iconic second rendition of the 1965 Ford Mustang comes to life and lays down some black marks up Pikes Peak as Block throttles the car right into your heart around some insane mountainous roads in this preview to the next big thing in the world of driving. We can’t wait to see what they have in store for us when the whole feature comes out!
How can you not fall in love at first sight with a machine like this one?
