What Does an Engine with Almost 500k Miles Look Like Inside?
When you approach the decision to purchase an automobile, there are a lot of factors that enter your mind. On top of all of the superficial things that you want like style and paint color or maybe even choice of interior materials, there’s also the mechanical workings to worry about and in most cases, on the top of the priority list in that area is how long the car is going to last. After all, are you don’t want to be stuck with something that’s going to have major issues right off the bat, now do you?
With most vehicles, I think that any prospective owner would be fortunate to think that they might be able to make it over the 400,000 mile mark one day with their old trusty vehicle and if you are lucky enough to find yourself into that club, maybe you want to know what to expect with your vehicle should it get there. Once you start the climb up to major mileage like that, all of the components inside of your engine that are touching one another have to start putting together some wear and tear, after all, so what exactly is it that you should keep the closest eye on?
