When the Ford F-150 Can’t Pull it, Bring in the Chevy Duramax!
There’s no context to how this semi ended up in the grass like this, and that’s kind of disappointing as it’s probably quite a story in itself, but the real story here is the rescue effort.
First, a Ford F150 was brought in to try to help, but it wasn’t able to budge the hopelessly-stuck truck. So out with the Ford and in with a Chevrolet 3500 Silverado. A couple of chains and a little tension and just like that, the day is saved. It’s pretty crazy to see a pickup truck dragging a huge semi through he grass like its nothing, but thanks to the loads or torque on board and solid chassis of the Silverado, it seems to almost effortlessly pull the big rig from its muddy mess. Its worth noting that the pickup’s driver had the good sense to tow the truck in reverse, as doing so puts the weight on the engine on the tires closer to the stuck rig, giving him some added traction and a better view of the situation without having to watch through the mirror.
Next time you find yourself stuck and in need of a tow, just remember to call a friend with a Silverado in the driveway!
