8-Sec Honda Goes Airborne at 150mph, Lands on ROOF!
Spills are all a part of the drag racing scene and while some are worse than others, this one captured by BigKleib34 at the Import vs Domestic World Cup Finals was pretty intense.
This particular Honda could have been seen cranking down the quarter mile in 8-seconds, an impressive feat for any machine, but this time the pass wouldn’t end well.
Toward the end of the track, immediately after crossing the finish line the car got sideways and headed straight for the wall. At such a speed, stopping is nearly impossible and the car showed it as it broke through the barrier, ramping off of it and launching into the air before landing on its roof and skidding to the other side of the track in a dramatic crash.
From what we’ve been told the driver is, in fact, alright after the incident. Check out the situation for yourself in the video below as this Honda Civic ends the event upside down.
