Beyond The Build: Season Two Finale – The Wrap Up
If you’re entered in our sweepstakes (if you’re not, you need to get in on this while you still have time) you’ll want to pay special attention to this video. Sure, all of season two of Beyond the Build has been about building both cars in our first ever Battle of the Boost sweepstakes, but this video takes a look at both cars as they will sit when the winner gets to choose which one he or she is taking home.
Up first, our first ever family sedan. The Mercedes Benz AMG C63 is truly a versatile daily driver that is equally comfortable dropping the kids at school or scorching the backroads after a hard day at work. This car is, in my opinion, one of the finest all-around cars on the road today, and that’s before we sat down with our partners and went to work making it even more amazing. ACG Automotive installed the Pure Turbos to bump the power to 750 at the wheels, while Labworx tweaked the tune to make sure the car feels as smooth as you’d expect from any Mercedes, while still making a ton of power. SD Wrap added some clean, subtle touches of black to make the car stand out, then Elite Finish gave the car a deep cleaning and their ceramic paint protection. Finally, the car’s sitting on gorgeous black CCW wheels wrapped in Michelin rubber to provide great looks and the ultimate in ride comfort. Any car that will turn Matt away from his beloved American muscle has to be impressive, so take note if you think you might be the lucky winner, this could be your next ride.
If you’re less inclined to take the family or your buddies with you, there’s the insane ZL1 Camaro you can also choose. While it does have a back seat, it’s not as roomy or comfortable as the Benz, which nobody would expect a raucous red Camaro to be. Thanks to Ron and Sean from Vengeance Racing, the Camaro is cranking out 1,000 horsepower, largely because of the massive Gen 4 Whipple supercharger under the hood. But there’s much more than a blower swap in play, which you saw if you followed this season of Beyond The Build. Ron & Co tore the engine down completely and rebuilt it using upgraded parts and hardware to ensure that, even with 1,000 ponies under the hood, it would still be as dependable as a stock ZL1. The build is the first in the country to get the brand new Whipple blower and also one of the first to feature Lingenfelter’s new high-pressure fuel system. Couple that power with the aggressive ZL1 styling, a set of badass Weld wheels wrapped in sticky Mickey Thompson ET Street R tires, and the same subtle color accents from SD Wrap and ceramic protection form Elite Finish, and you have another build that any enthusiast would be proud to call their own.
Or, if you want to take the stack of cash and do your own thing, the winner always has the option to walk away with $50,000. Regardless of your choice, you’ll get to fly out so San Diego and spend a couple of days living it up with the Speed Society crew as part fo the VIP Experience, and that alone is well worth the cost of a t-shirt, cap, or hoodie to get your entries into the Battle of the Boost Sweepstakes! One thing is for certain, you can’t win if you’re not entered!
