5 Mid-Engine Corvette Have Been Caught Testing California Roads.

Every once in a while, there is some sort of car that stirs up a bunch of hype, giving people something to talk about as a machine that is new and different ends up coming out and perhaps changing the performance landscape as we know it. If you haven’t guessed at this point, we’re talking, of course, about the eighth generation of Chevrolet Corvette, the car that is slated to take the Corvette as we know it and finally come through on all of the promises that we have been getting year after year of finally being able to see this thing with a mid-engine configuration.

Now, after all these years of being teased about the potential for such a platform coming out and never seeing it, we have become a little bit skeptical of the whole concept. However, if seeing is believing then we have to have some faith based on the test mules that General Motors has been spotted out and about in, indicating that we will probably see a mid-engine Corvette before we know it. As one can imagine, anticipation is very high and there’s a lot of chatter about the details of such a platform and what all it will entail.

Does this mean that the next generation of Corvette is back on track for a 2020 release? Is this even a Corvette at all?
