Caught On Camera: Thieves Caught Stealing $700,000 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ
For some reason, when we talk about car theft, normally, we don’t picture one of the most expensive cars possible in our heads. After all, the smartest criminals are probably out there stealing the low key vehicles that look like every other vehicle. It doesn’t exactly take a genius to realize the fact that a bright orange one-of-a-kind Lamborghini is going to have a big old target on its back. For these criminals, though, they were either very confident in their abilities or just pulled off a move that will end up landing them in jail somewhere.
Normally, when it comes to these high-end exotic cars and people who want to steal them, we picture one of two things. We either picture Nicholas Cage from Gone in 60 Seconds or some sort of spy with high-tech equipment and white gloves to not get fingerprints anywhere. Instead, though, we’re just greeted by something much more normal. It’s not only one thief but a group of thieves who attempt to steal this car.
From the get-go, things aren’t looking too bright. The man in control of getting the car itself ends up inside and does his job quickly. However, on the other end, it looks like whoever was responsible for the gate might want to practice a bit. I’m no expert but it took him way too long to get it open.
When all is said and done, though, they did end up getting away with the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ. In the video below, exotic car expert, Rob Ferretti, gives us his rundown on what exactly happened here. He lays out his opinion on the $700,000 Lamborghini heist.
It’s not every day that we see something like this unfold. Therefore, it’s kind of interesting to see how thieves would approach the situation. Hopefully, those who were evil enough to snatch the car are served their fair share of justice.
