Mike Decker VS Stevie “Fast” Jackson at VMP, Gnarly Wreck!
A crash is something that always makes us cringe inside just a little bit to watch, especially when the car involved is as high caliber as the machines we expect from Decker Salvage. Unfortunately, though, that was exactly the case this time as Decker had rolled out a new build and it wouldn’t be long before this build met an ugly fate.
Upon linking up with Stevie “Fast” Jackson at the Outlaw Street Car Reunion at Virginia Motorsports Park, Decker would knock home an impressive pass as well as Jackson. Jackson would like the bulbs first, winning on a holeshot as his 3.58-second pass would be enough to out-perform Decker’s 3.55. However, the result of the epic race would be far from the headline that would circulate following the blistering pass.
After crossing the finish line, things would quickly go wrong and escalate to a panic mode in a hurry.
As Decker would appear to have been accelerating faster at the finish line, his Chevrolet Camaro would end up going sideways as he made it past Jackson. There wasn’t much that Decker could do but hold on and hope for the best as the car would quickly make a turn toward the wall. The machines would narrowly avoid a collision but the Camaro definitely ended up taking on some heavy damage as it veered directly into the wall with an intense impact.
Fortunately, everybody would be able to walk away from the incident injury-free. However, it definitely dealt out one heck of a lick to that Camaro that’s certainly going to need a little bit of retooling before it ends up back on the track once again. Watching something like this unfold is incredibly disheartening but unfortunately, it will always be a part of racing that we just simply have to deal with.
