Here’s What a ProCharger Sounds Like up Close and Without a Hood
Sometimes, it’s the simple things in the car community that can really make us come alive. Perhaps, we have all sorts of expensive tastes and a dream list of cars that we would love to bring home but at times, simply kicking back, relaxing, and listening to the sounds of some of these machines make can really make it all worth it. At the end of the day, enthusiasts can spend hours picking out just the right parts to accommodate that sweet sound so why not appreciate it!?
Whether it’s a screaming supercharger, whistling turbo, or the grumbling cam of a naturally aspirated car, some of our favorite combinations really come to life and just speak straight to the soul, sending a chill down the spine at the same time.
This time, we check in with a simple concept that really brings a combination to life. As we all know, with a centrifugal supercharger set up, the sound of the whistling head unit can really be enough to get the adrenaline pumping. However, for the vast majority of folks, it’s likely that we would have only heard the sound from the curb or while in one of the seats. What a lot of people haven’t gotten a chance to hear is what it sounds like to be right next to such a supercharger as a car romps down the street.
This time, we check in with such a combination on board what appears to be a Coyote Mustang as the supercharger roars to life. The camera, in this case, it’s mounted right next to the ProCharger to queue up the ultimate sound. We do get a little bit of wind noise here and there but it’s definitely worth it to be able to ride down the street and get a true first-person experience of what exactly is going on under the hood!
