Rescuing a Semi Truck From the Sand Can be a Difficult Endeavor

Sometimes, when it comes to an off-road recovery effort, it can be a challenging endeavor. It’s not always as simple as hooking up a vehicle to the back of a tow truck and yanking it out of a ditch. Instead, sometimes those responsible for the recovery need to get a little bit creative in order to make sure that the vehicle in need ends up getting where it needs to go.

Naturally, depending upon where one might find themselves, this can be easier said than done. We would definitely say that there is a spectrum of difficulty in recovery and this time, we check in with a machine that might just find its way toward the more difficult side of things. In fact, the only thing that could make this one more difficult if it was in a remote area.

Fortunately, a semi-truck isn’t going all that far off of the beaten path. However, for this semi-driver, he would find himself in quite a predicament as the sand would surround his truck and end up getting it nice and stuck. It looks like the driver took a wrong turn and attempted to get himself turned around when all of a sudden, the truck in question was up to its wheels in sand and only digging itself deeper.

This is where Matt’s Off Road Recovery hopped in and got to work. Luckily, the truck in question didn’t have a full load as it was sporting the “oversize load” banner across the front. Getting both the truck and its heavy components on the trailer out of a jam would’ve been way more difficult than the fortunate situation of dealing with an empty trailer.

In any case, down in the video below, we get to watch the recovery effort that is unlike any we’ve seen before. In fact, there are a couple of unconventional tools that are put to work to make this job go by just a little bit more smoothly.
