When we get right down to brass tax, there isn’t too much less intimidating than a Subaru wagon. Sure, some tuners work their magic and might bring some aftermarket love to the platform. However, pound for pound, in factory stock condition, this might be the least suspecting car on the highway.
However, that means that it’s going to be a lot more impressive when we actually do see one of these things get up and go, right?
Well, that’s precisely the case here as a typical Subaru GL wagon has been transformed into a Gymkhana-style monster that’s ready to have the gamut thrown in its direction.
Travis Pastrana’s “Family Huckster” is certainly something that you don’t see every day. In fact, we might even go so far as saying that, after seeing this thing in action, the market for 1980s Subarus might just so happen to go up more than a little bit. Why not turn a family cruiser into something amazing?
After quite a fair amount of attention, the wagon has been brought new life. Not only does the machine now feature 860 high revving horsepower under the hood. This thing is also getting around the corners with ease thanks to active aero that’s designed to make the wagon stick to the track like nobody’s business so that those 860 ponies can really go to work.

This time, we get to see the machine in action at Goodwood. The Goodwood Festival has been known to bring out some pretty incredible machines and put them to the test as their drivers sling them around the course. This time it’s absolutely no different as this powerful waagon is pushed to the limit.
