Fast forward to today, and we find ourselves in a world where resources like ChatGPT provide access to an artificial intelligence chatbot capable of handling a spectrum of tasks, from answering complex questions to editing articles, available to anyone with an internet connection.
Notably, a Chevrolet dealership took a step further by harnessing AI to develop its own chatbot, designed to engage with customers. The idea was for the bot to answer inquiries about vehicles and take on basic tasks like appointment scheduling.
However, an intriguing twist unfolded when a savvy customer, an engineer well-versed in the workings of artificial intelligence, used his knowledge to outsmart the system and secure a remarkable deal on a Chevrolet Tahoe.
By engaging in a conversation with the chatbot and leveraging his understanding of AI dynamics, the customer skillfully persuaded the bot to enter into a legally binding contract. Employing persuasive tactics, the customer convinced the AI that adhering to the principle of “the customer is always right” meant selling him a brand new Chevrolet Tahoe at a staggering discount.

Despite the audacity of the maneuver, neither Chevrolet nor the dealership has any intention of honoring this unexpected deal. We’re not quite sure how legally binding the agreement is.
