Bugatti Smokes the Tires, Slings $3 Million “Pur Sport” Sideways in Epic Drift Display
No matter who you are or what you wake up to do for work every day, there’s a pretty good chance that your job will never be as cool as the guy who gets to drive Bugattis around for their social media shoots.
In an effort to put out a little bit of content to promote the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport, the brand thought it would be a good idea to go out and beat on the car a little bit. With a price tag that starts at $3.3 million, we have to say that we were pretty shocked to see Bugatti take an example of the Pur Sport out and throw it around on a skid pad. Typically, high-end exotic automakers would be shaking in their boots at the mere thought of their cars being driven like this, especially in a video that is designed to represent the brand.
Bugatti, on the other hand, seems to embrace the concept, taking the car with over 1,500 hp and state-of-the-art all-wheel drive technology and truly opening it up to smoke the tires in a sideways drift.
The brand tells us “the BUGATTI CHIRON Pur Sport lies in wait, just off center, ready to execute a perfectly controlled and precise drift maneuver that will adorn the track with a large letter ‘C’. With its cutting-edge characteristics that encompass power, lateral dynamics and performance, BUGATTI developed a CHIRON version that can master the most extreme situations with rigor, finesse, and ease.”
We certainly have to give a hat off to Bugatti for showing us that even multi-million dollar cars can be beaten a little bit. Not all of them have to be kept in a temperature-controlled garage and driven straight to “cars and coffee” and back on days when rain isn’t in the forecast.
