Just When You Thought it Couldn’t Get Better, a Demon Gets Kooks Long Tube Headers (Epic Sound!)
If there’s one thing that most of us can agree on, it’s that the Dodge Demon is the king of the muscle car kingdom. When Dodge decided that they wanted to start supercharging its cars, the brand really changed the game. First in the supercharged lineup was the Hellcat but eventually, things would escalate until we would get to the Demon which is good for over 800 hp.
One thing that will probably always be true, though, is that no matter what car you buy, there’s always a little bit of room to make it better. It doesn’t matter if the engineers were on top of their game and created something that is just about perfect. Even with the likes of the Demon that was more powerful than any production car we had ever seen at the time, modifying it just a little bit could give the machine a bit more kick.
This time, we get to see exactly what a simple modification does to a monster like this. In this particular example, the crew here at Speed Society teamed up with Kooks in order to install a custom exhaust. We started with stainless headers that would make their way back to a stainless exhaust.
Not only is such a modification simple but it also has upside as well. For most cars, this should be one of the first things that enthusiasts look at. An exhaust will take away some restriction, allowing the engine to breathe better. With that, benefits like more horsepower and sometimes better fuel efficiency are there for the taking. Above all, though, we all know that a good exhaust can make a great-sounding car have an even better note when you lay into the throttle.
Down in the video below, you can join in with the Speed Society team as we hook up our most recent giveaway car with an awesome exhaust system from Kooks. We also throw in a bit of heat protection from our friends at Heat Shield Products to sweeten the pot even further!
Unfortunately, the Demon giveaway is closed but if you want to check out our current dream car giveaway, you can do that here.
