Koenigsegg v Tesla Plaid v Turbo Hayabusa: DRAG RACE
As racing enthusiasts, we can’t help but want to compare just about everything that we possibly can. If it was built for speed or even if it wasn’t built for speed, the interests of a racer just are itching to compare one machine to the next.
This time, we check in with a race that compares three machines that are very different yet, in some ways, very alike as well. The race puts three of the most respected competitors in their respective fields toe to toe against one another.
When comparing machines that would be interesting to see go head to head with one another, the first thought that goes through most folks’ minds probably wouldn’t be how a Tesla compares to a Koenigsegg. However, with the introduction of the Tesla Model S Plaid, the world would be introduced to the quickest and fastest mass-produced car to ever exist as it pertains to quarter mile competition. In other words, the electric torque combined with 1020 hp means that the car that appears as if it’s nothing more than a boring family sedan is anything but.
Conversely, we find a machine in the Koenigsegg Regera RST that once held the record for the quickest from 0-400kmh-0 and certainly looks the part. The car most definitely has a reputation that precedes it. A hyper car making 1360 hp needs no buildup for what exactly it’s capable of doing, especially in a straight line.
Lastly, we throw in the likes of a Suzuki Hayabusa. Not only is this bike itself an incredibly impressive competitor but this particular example has added a supercharger to the mix to make things even more adrenaline pumping.
Below, we check in with these three speed demons as they square off with one another, each looking to out-duel the others in the name of reigning supreme. There will only be one winner, though, and the only way to find out who takes the cake is to hop to action.
