Nissan Skyline R34 with A V12 ENGINE! | 2 Fast 2 Furious (Paul Walker Edition)
Not only is the Fast and Furious universe one of the longest-running and most valuable franchises in all of Hollywood. It also serves as the backdrop to many gearheads becoming gearheads. Sure, later on down the road, we all might like to poke fun at how extreme the movies have become and some of their technical inaccuracies. However, the fact of the matter is that with an original couple of films, lots of viewers were introduced to the world of cars. The automotive community as a whole certainly could not be what it is today without these films introducing so many people to the niche.
With that, there are a number of cars in the franchise that is absolutely outstanding. One of the machines that are perhaps on the mount Rushmore of outstanding cars from the Fast universe is the Nissan Skyline R34 that we saw Paul Walker pilot in 2 Fast 2 Furious.
As the early Fast and Furious films have become iconic, we have seen their cars, including this one, replicated in a real life time and time again.
This time, thanks to our host, When Hann Meets Cars, we get to take a look at another replica that is something pretty special.
From a glance, we all know the iconic paint scheme on the outside of the Nissan. The car even shares body panels with the original as well which adds a nice touch. However, there are other areas where the owner of this particular ride went off script, doing something unique and we think that the custom modifications here paid off in a big way.
Perhaps the biggest discrepancy between this car and the original is that instead of the iconic in-line six-cylinder that one would typically find under the hood of the R34, this one has a growling V12. Even cooler is the fact that our host says that this B12 pulled from a Toyota Century is the only B12 Japan has ever produced. There’s just something special about keeping everything on brand (or at least in the same country) that really ties this whole build together.
