Retro MotorWeek Episode Compares 1985 Mustang GT vs Camaro Iroc-Z vs Trans Am
It’s absolutely no secret that the automotive industry has gone through a lot of changes with each and every decade. If we take a look back over time, everything from what’s powering our cars to the technology inside of them has evolved in one way or another. With that, it can be fun to take a look back at some of the vehicles that seem much more basic by today’s standards but were really cutting edge at the time.
The way that the hosts hype these things up is truly something to behold!
This time, we check in with an old episode of MotorWeek that takes us into a time machine. Up for debate this time, we find the pony car lineup that graced the streets back in the year of 1985. The 80s decade was definitely known for its angular designs in the automotive world and these machines are certainly no exception.
Featured this time, we check in with the comparison that would put the 1985 Ford Mustang GT head to head with the Chevrolet Camaro Iroc-Z and Pontiac Trans Am. In hindsight, these cars were incredibly simple compared to all of the technology that we have today. However, there’s a part of us that thinks that simple can have a way of being a lot better. Sure, there’s a place for technology but other times, sometimes life is better without it as we roll down the windows and go for a little cruise.
By following along with the video below, some will get to take a walk down memory lane and others will get to experience a time and place that they might’ve never seen before. Luckily, through the power of YouTube, we all have the chance to appreciate the simplicity of the way that things once were even if we never saw it in person.
