The 2017 Ford Mustang Crash Test Did Not Go All That Well

When it comes to picking out a vehicle, different people who have different needs look for different features in their ride, obviously. One thing that tends to be relevant across the board for all vehicle purchasers, though, is the metric of safety because nobody wants to get into a bad situation with a car that will not protect them.

With today’s vehicles, you would expect that almost anything put out by a major automotive manufacturer to be relatively safe but it turns out that the latest and greatest in Mustangs, the 2017 model, just doesn’t happen to include all of the safety features that we’re used to in newer cars.

The tests below show us the European safety tests that have rated the Ford Mustang a two out of five potential stars due to its lack of child safety and pedestrian safety, two metrics that may or may not concern you depending on your lifestyle. It’s also important to note that the EuroNCAP is a bit more stringent than the safety tests here in the States and also hasn’t evaluated the competitor’s cars for 2017 as of yet.
