The SCG Boot Is a $300,000 Street-Legal Desert Racer
While many of us have developed an affinity for car models produced by prominent brands, sometimes, it’s the smaller players who craft truly distinctive and unique creations. After all, large brands tend to focus on catering to the broadest market possible, leaving room for smaller entities to introduce something that truly stands out and breaks the mold. This is where enthusiasts can truly find their place to thrive in the market.
Enter the SCG Boot.
Do you really need to traverse the streets in a street-legal desert racer? Probably not, but then again, where’s the fun in life if you only cater to your needs and don’t throw some wants into a purchase decision every now and then?
The brainchild of Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus, a small car company hailing from New York, the SCG Boot is a vehicle designed to turn heads wherever it goes. Its sheer size creates a presence that is much like a Hummer. The crazy thing about the Hummer essence, here, though, is that it has had a child with the likes of a Chevrolet Corvette. Equipped with a 650 hp supercharged LT4 V8, this off-roader is engineered to conquer diverse terrains with unrivaled speed and power.
At first glance, the Boot appears to be a cross between a futuristic tank and a sports car, and in a way, it is. Featuring a bespoke tube frame chassis and massive 37-inch tires, the Boot emerges as the ultimate adventure vehicle. Move over, Jeep, because SCG may have just created something even more impressive!
In the video below, we join automotive YouTube legend Doug DeMuro as he meticulously dissects the Boot, exploring all of the machine’s quirks and features. While one might expect a laundry list of such quirks and features, the level of detail invested in crafting this machine sets it apart as truly exceptional.
