What’s it Actually Like to Live With the 2022 GMC Hummer EV Pickup Truck?

Whether or not one loves or hates the idea of electric vehicles, we have to say that it’s a pretty interesting time to be alive as an automotive enthusiast. With all this new technology coming to light, the industry is evolving in a way that we would have never imagined. We would say that we are definitely in an era where we don’t know what’s going to happen next which certainly can be a thrill.

One of the big surprises that we have recently received is that of the 2022 Hummer. When General Motors announced they were bringing the nameplate back, we would venture to think that a lot of folks were probably surprised that this classically brutal model would be offered up as an exclusively electric vehicle.

With an offering like this, it really feels like something that’s going to be a grand slam or flop catastrophically. Taking such a big step in the opposite direction from what a Hummer has typically been as a gas-guzzling monster would be a huge risk for General Motors.

However, when the Hummer EV eventually came out, we would learn that maybe the electric vehicle version actually does share quite a bit of lineage with its forefathers.
