Can Tesla’s Handle The Deep Snow

One of the things about Tesla that really captures people’s attention is that the brand doesn’t just come with an offering that’s a little bit different. Instead, it seems as if they are trying to overhaul just about everything that we know about the vehicles that we drive. With that, there’s certainly some skepticism which is natural and definitely healthy. You want to ask questions to make sure that the product is going to do what it’s supposed to do and consumers certainly have plenty of questions about the EV maker.

Thankfully, channels like The Fast Lane on YouTube are able to go out and test all of these questions to see exactly how these machines perform in the real world. Sure, on paper, they might look a certain way. One could even go about reading reviews on the internet to see how they perform. However, there’s really just something to actually seeing a vehicle like this perform with your own two eyes. It can really seal the deal to prove if such a vehicle is capable or not at a certain task.

This time, the goal is to see how exactly the Tesla Model Y would be able to handle the snow. To accommodate, TFL takes us along for the ride with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive version of the Model Y. In the video, the SUV is subjected to about 7 to 8 inches of snow and it’s sitting on all-weather tires to hopefully make the journey a little bit easier.

Down in the video below, we get to see how the SUV does against the elements. At this point in the timeline, consumers are still figuring out how exactly Tesla is going to work in the real world.
