Snobby Neighbor Leaves Note on Economy Car Asking Owner to Take it to the Dump
I don’t think they we’re necessarily delivering any new news when we tell you that there are some people who completely live on an entirely different planet.
For one angry neighbor behind a story that has been going viral over the last couple of days, though, it’s apparent that the individual is certainly one of those people. Normally, as a news outlet, we would try not to be too overly biased. However, when we see some flagrant disregard of your neighbors like this, we just can’t help but pick sides.
The story starts out when 56-year-old Julia Laursen would make her way to her car one morning where she found quite a nasty note. Neighbors leaving notes on each other’s doors or windows to try and get their point across is certainly nothing new. While we have seen a lot of crazy ones, this one certainly takes the cake as perhaps the most uncalled-for example of brutal rudeness that we have ever seen. Whoever wrote this thing, if it is indeed the real deal, needs to take a good hard look in the mirror because this is the mark of somebody who is truly unhappy with themselves.
The note starts, “I hope you don’t mind, but would you kindly not park your vehicle on this road, please?
We know what’s coming next – they’re going to complain about a loud exhaust, right? Well, not exactly. You see, Laursen owns a respectable Skoda, according to The Sun. The car isn’t sold in the states but from what we understand, it’s just another average economy car.
The note continues, “This is a nice respectable road and now it looks like Beirut.” Lastly, the cowardly neighbor who chose to remain anonymous stated “WE don’t drive such vehicles so perhaps you could in future park it somewhere more appropriate [nice grammar]. Like the DUMP!”
From pictures, the neighborhood in Shanklin, Isle of Wight looks like a typical neighborhood so we’re not sure where this angry neighbor is coming from. We don’t normally condone violence but something tells us that a nice little slap would do this anonymous author a little good.
In any case, Laursen posted the message up to social media and has gotten pretty overwhelming support. In addition, it seems like most of the comments that we have read from other publications posting the same story have had people wondering what’s wrong with this angry neighbor. Best of all, it seems as if Julia and her friends are planning to really show the neighbors what Beirut is like. Perhaps some actual junkyard cars are in order?
If for nothing else, maybe this article can just be a friendly reminder to be kind to your neighbor. We’re all human beings and none of us are better than the next… even if you do have good enough credit to put yourself in debt over a Land Rover.
