Shawn’s ’55 First Start Up After the Rebuild
After all the time and effort we put into our cars, ending up in an accident can feel like the absolute worst thing that could possibly happen.
Sure, when we saw the accident with Murder Nova’s ’55 Chevy, everyone felt fortunate to see the driver walk away. However, at the moment, it’s kind of hard to be happy about your health when your heart also feels the weight of your pride and joy being wadded up into a ball of recycling metal.
When the ’55 did end up getting into an accident, things didn’t exactly look great. After seeing the car make a hard impact with the wall and roll on its side, I think that a lot of spectators thought that this might’ve been the end of this car that has a lot of sentimental value for Street Outlaws fan favorite, Shawn Ellington.
While the damage was pretty spectacular, to say the least, that absolutely didn’t stand in Ellington’s way of seeing the potential that still remained in the old Chevrolet that inspired Shawn to breathe life into the car once again. If it was just any old 55 Chevrolet, maybe he would’ve thrown in the towel. However, it’s pretty wild what one might go through when it comes to a car that has lots of memories attached to it.
Down in the video below, we get to watch as this iconic piece of the 187 Customs garage stable gets to breathe new life once again. In this update video, we get to see the incredible ride back on its feet once again. It’s crazy to know what kind of carnage was in this car’s past and how it has come to life once again!
With a display like this, we just can’t help it feel like where there’s a will, there’s a way. It’s amazing to see what talent and effort can do when applied just right.
