Build a V8 Engine Model Kit That Actually Runs!
When it comes to being into cars and trucks, there are all sorts of different levels to the hobby. Some build cars for looks, others might build them for performance, and a third group might build things that aren’t exactly real cars at all.
What exactly do we mean by that?
Well, as it turns out, there are all sorts of peripheral hobbies that go hand-in-hand with the automotive community. For example, the remote control car community is a little bit cheaper way of cracking into the adrenaline that one gets from fulfilling their need for speed. Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it. The world of RC is complex and features everything from scaled-down replicas to builds that accelerate to incredible speeds.
Another way that one might get their kicks us through building models which, again, can be incredibly nuanced and complex. These days, with the way the manufacturing is done, just about anything is possible and that means that tiny little engines can bring an insane amount of detail to life.
This time, we check in with a kit from a company called Stirling Kit which creates these tiny model engines that actually work in the same way as their full-sized counterparts.
This time, thanks to YouTube creator, B Hobby, we get to check out a build of one of their kits from top to bottom. As we watch all of the real components come together, from the block to the heads and even the camshafts, we can’t help but be impressed. When all is said and done, it’s time to hook up the electric motor that spins the entire assembly, giving an up close and personal view of how a real engine actually functions, just on a much smaller scale.
All of this can be accomplished for the price of $699.99 over on the Stirling Kit website.
