Footage Shows Millions Under Winter Weather Alerts as Powerful Storm Sweeps U.S. Ahead of Holidays
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past couple of days, you’re probably aware that the entire nation is being met with some rather extreme conditions ahead of the Christmas holiday. Let’s just say that those who have been hoping for a white Christmas are going to get that and then some as the conditions sour as we get closer to the weekend. While it’s not going to be quite as bad as the hit movie, The Day After Tomorrow, we get a feeling that most are going to want to stay inside and bundle up with a couple of layers if they can’t.
Among the symptoms of the storm that have at least 105 million Americans under winter weather alerts, we find an abundance of snow and extreme temperatures. In fact, NBC News says that there is Arctic-level cold and freezing wind in certain areas of the country. It has gotten so bad in some places that people have been urged to stay at home if at all possible as the conditions have made driving incredibly dangerous to the point where the National Guard is out and ready to help save people if need be in certain areas.
President Biden even took a moment to warn the nation to take things seriously, telling everybody that this isn’t just another snow day but instead something that should be heeded with caution.
Unfortunately, these crazy conditions are also clashing with one of the biggest travel days of the holiday season and could have “potentially crippling impacts” to travel.
