Goliath is Back: Transmission Rebuild & Dyno

As most fans of Daddy Dave have noticed, he and his Goliath Nova ended up in quite a collision not too long ago. After hitting the wall in south Georgia, though, Dave was pretty quick on the trigger to get back into action once again.

At this point in time, Goliath is ready to roll at full strength. As Dave tells us, most of the waiting for repair was due to parts not being quite available yet. However, there were a couple of things that Dave and company had to do in order to make sure that all of the parts were going to cooperate just like they did before the accident.

In this particular step in the process, Dave wanted to make sure that the car’s transmission was good to go. In order to do that, a rebuild would be in the cards and we also got to see a little bit of time on the dyno as well.

Dave tells us, “On this episode I’m taking you on a road trip to our friends at M&M Transmissions for a refresh and dyno test to make sure the tranny is at 100% before getting it back in Goliath. We dive into checking out my cylinder heads, pushrods, rockers, installing my transmission and getting the car ready to smash the remaining No Prep Kings “NPK ” events. It’s a lot of hard work, late nights, and long drives to make this all happen, but I want to let you guys in to see first hand!”

Some of these guys go to pretty crazy lengths in order to keep these cars operating at a high level and a video like this gives us a little bit more appreciation for that fact.
