Hennessey Will Turn Your C8 Into a 700 HP Monster With H700 Package

It’s no secret that Chevrolet really shook things up with the eighth generation of Corvette. Deciding to take a blueprint that has been tried and true for nearly 70 years and completely turning it on its head is nothing short of a huge risk. Fortunately for the brand, that risk paid off big time as the eighth generation of Corvette is being received incredibly well to this point.

Those who have been following along with the lineage of the Corvette have noticed that GM has a tenancy to slowly release models throughout the years of a generation with the more potent versions coming later in the run. Therefore, it’s probably safe to assume that the Corvette that we see now is likely the least powerful C8 to be produced.

For those who don’t want to wait for a Z06 or risk paying the massive markup that is sure to come with the car, there are other options out there to take your base model Corvette and really turn up the volume knob. Of course, Hennessey Performance, the crew that has become known for being the first to take brand-new cars and make them even harder-hitting than what the factory offers, couldn’t wait to spin out some C8 packages to play with.

Hennessey’s latest offering, the H700 package will take the factory 490 hp with 465 pound-feet of torque and crank it up to a 708 hp combination with 638 pound-feet of torque. That’s about 30 more horsepower and 180 more pound-feet of torque than the eighth-generation Z06 that’s upcoming as well. Hennessy achieves these numbers through a high-flow centrifugal supercharger, new air-to-water intercooler, and other supporting engine upgrades.

The package that comes in at a price of $49,950 is complete with race-inspired exterior graphics and premium lightweight race wheels. There is also a $34,950 option for the supercharger kit alone if you don’t need all the other bells and whistles. Last but certainly not least, all cars come with a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty which means that you’ll be rolling with the same peace of mind as you would if you had left it stock!
