How is the New Hummer EV Really? Let’s Get up Close & Personal!

It seems as if 2021 is going to be the year where most major automakers hop aboard the electric vehicle train. At first, Tesla seemed to be running away as the only automaker bringing top-tier electric vehicles to the market. Within the next couple of years, though, we will be able to tell if the rest of the industry is able to catch up.

One of the exciting things about this electrification is that it means some of our favorite nameplates are coming back in a big way. The last time that we saw anybody aside from Tesla trying to put together an electric vehicle, most of the offering was, well, widely regarded as rather boring.

Nobody’s exactly getting up and cheering over a Chevy Volt or Nissan Leaf, at the end of the day.

This time, though, with a name like “Hummer” coming back into the fold, enthusiasts can’t help but at least be curious about what happens. I know that some of us are definitely a little bit reserved when it comes to accepting electric technology. At the end of the day, we all love the grumble of an engine. However, the Hummer is going to be one model that will try to convince folks at electric might not be so bad after all. With its massive power onboard, it’s going to be hard to deny!

In this “Hands on and Impressions” video, we really get to see what this thing is life like in real life. So, is the Hummer going to be a machine that dreams are made of or will this EV end up being a bust? It’s going to be a little bit of time before we can actually get to the bottom of that question. However, a detailed review like this is certainly a good place to start.
