Rare Futuristic Motorcycle Saved From its Grave – Will it Make the 400 Mile Trip Home?
While browsing around on YouTube, the platform can take us down some pretty wild paths. One moment, we could be watching a video about something regular like clips from an episode of a TV show. Next, we could be looking at a completely obscure project that we would’ve never even imagined existed in a million years unless we saw it with our own eyes.
This time, thanks to YouTube creator, Bikes and Beards, we get to check out something that certainly falls into the latter category.
When our host delves into this one, we aren’t kidding when we say that this is really something that’s incredibly off of the beaten path. What we’ve stumbled across this time is technically a motorcycle but it looks nothing like a typical bike. Instead, the creation kind of appears as if a fighter jet and a motorcycle had a baby, as our host eloquently puts it.
Furthermore, he continues to describe the situation, telling us that the vehicle was purchased sight unseen from the internet.
Seven hours of driving later, we would see exactly what it would take to get this bike-jet up and running again. The idea here was to get the rig in good enough shape so it could roll home under its own power.
Down in the video below, we check in with the incredibly rare bike that was said to be designed by an aircraft engineer. Apparently, only 247 of these things were made due to the designer’s untimely death. Our host also points out that this retro-futuristic bike or one like it was also featured in Back to the Future.
So, will this thing ever touch the highway or is it going to be bound to a trailer for the foreseeable future? There’s only one way to find out.
