Sometimes, Going Wide Open in a 2000HP Corvette is All We Need in Life
These days, things have a way of seeming so over complicated. As car fans, we know that it can be rather therapeutic to just hop behind the wheel and go for a ride. After all the long hours of investing in our cars to get them exactly where we want them, being able to just go for a nice little rip on the highway is something that we all desire.
This time, we check in with a simple yet awesome video that allows us to do just that with the owner of a Chevrolet Corvette Z06. This isn’t just any Corvette, though. Instead, the car is been gone through and received a lot of love in terms of aftermarket go-fast parts.
In order to get things kicked off, under the hood, we find an LME 427. To really spice things up, the 427 is complemented by a pair of Precision turbos that makes the combo good for about 2000 hp once turned all the way up. In order to get the power to the ground, we also find an RPM transmission that is fitted with an RPS quad carbon clutch.
This time, the car is turned down just a little bit as it’s making around 1152 hp in what’s called “daily driver mode.” To be frank, that’s probably more horsepower than most people will ever be able to control in their entire life. However, this Corvette has to be turned down quite a bit to make about half of its potential horsepower when in DD mode. If that’s not awesome, we don’t know what it is!
Down in the video below, we get to join in with an epic cruise that really shows us what this Z06 is made of. There’s just something about that throttle cracking open that really has a way of sending a chill down the spine.
