Tesla Owner Stranded on Christmas Eve Because Car Wouldn’t Charge in the Freezing Cold

While electric vehicles do seem to offer a lot of upside, it seems as if there are a couple of fears that potential consumers might be held back by. One of those fears is what happens if you’re stranded in the cold without a charge.

For TikTok user, Domenick Nati, that would be his precise situation on Christmas eve. When Nati plugged in his Tesla to a public charger, he would be greeted by the same warning that he received when trying to charge his car at home. The warning read that the battery is heating and to leave the charge cable inserted.

However, an hour later there was absolutely no progress and Nati’s Tesla still presented the same message. In other words, if he couldn’t make it home in the 19 miles of battery that the car had left, Nati would be left stranded on Christmas Eve.

Lo and behold, the charge never came and Nati was left to solve the problem.

In a later video, he would communicate with Tesla who would send a tow truck to pick up Nati’s car and pull it away to a service center. He did say that it felt like Tesla was making an effort to remedy the issue. However, the story left viewers curious how this issue would be remedied.
