ZR1 Owner Leaving Cars and Coffee is Going Viral For All the WRONG Reasons

It’s hard to resist the temptation of pushing the limits of a powerful car, such as the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. However, it’s important to exercise caution and know how to handle the beast before attempting to show off. Failing to do so could be both embarrassing on a viral level and expensive as well.

Sadly, videos of drivers failing to handle their high-performance cars at Cars and Coffee events across the country have become a common sight. The typical scenario involves a driver leaving such an event and trying to make a grand exit, only to lose control of their car while attempting a burnout.

The latest viral video of the sort features a seventh-generation Corvette ZR1 out of Florida, which skids out of control and crashes into some bushes, as a result of the driver’s excessive throttle input. With 755 horsepower from the factory plus whatever sort of modification this car might have, a rear wheel drive monster like this could be easy to get away from its driver.

While the goal of creating tire smoke may have been accomplished in this case, the driver’s failure to ease off the throttle caused the car’s rear end to slide out, resulting in a shift in momentum that sent the car over a curb and into the bushes.

Even seasoned drivers should exercise caution and respect the power of their vehicles. Failure to do so can result in costly repairs, injury, or worse. While it’s tempting to show off the power of a high-performance car like the Corvette ZR1, it’s important to handle it with care and respect. It’s always better to arrive at your destination safely than to create a viral video of a failed burnout that will live on forever.
