7 New Cars That are Worse Than Before (The Brand Ruined Them!)

These days, it seems like there are some automotive models that just come and go so quickly. One day, we see a nameplate pop up only to disappear the next. The crazy thing, though is that a similar vehicle might be created under an entirely different name as the automaker tries to recycle the idea with a slight twist.

What about those names, though, that stick around forever? We’re talking about those heroes like the Ford Mustang, the Mitsubishi Eclipse, and maybe even something like the Dodge Charger.

When I mention each of those nameplates, the enthusiast group behind them can probably picture their favorite model in their heads. However, for each of these machines, there’s also that one generation that nobody wants to talk about. This is because automakers have a way of sometimes trying things outside the box when they should just stick to the successful formula in the first place.

This time, thanks to TopCars TV, we dive into good car models gone wrong. From the sounds and the looks all the way to automakers truly trying to conform to trends, some of these popular examples have simply shifted into shells of themselves. Sometimes, it can be hard to pinpoint exactly where things went wrong but at the end of the day, we just know that things aren’t the same.

Down in the video below, we check in with seven cars that are definitely worse than they were before. Naturally, this is going to be something that’s entirely subjective. However, on the other hand, sales numbers don’t always lie, either. The most ironic part of the whole thing is that these bad examples of a particularly popular model likely exist because the people behind them were doing nothing more than trying to sell more units and it just all backfired in their faces.
