Old School F100 Pro Touring Truck Wakes Up With a Whipple Supercharger

If there is one thing that we can’t help but absolutely fall in love with, it’s a classic that has properly been met with a little bit of modern flair. There’s just something about old-school design that really can send a chill down the spine. However, it’s hard to debate the fact that some of the more modern technology is nice to have on board. Not only are there many more creature comforts available these days but also the engines that one would put under the hood will create a lot more power and do so much more efficiently.

In this case, we check in with a truck the dates all the way back to 1968. The body in question comes from a Ford F-100 but this isn’t like any F-100 we have seen before. Instead, the classic has undergone many changes to give it a little bit of pro-touring flare. This thing has been brought into the modern era both inside and under the hood.

The story behind the truck surrounds a guy named Doug who once drooled over the truck as it was featured in Classic Truck Magazine years ago. The magazine would show off the old school Ford as it was built in the issues. Eventually, the magazine would end up selling the truck. Its new owner who apparently had a plethora of awesome cars would let the truck sit for a little bit. However, eventually, this owner decided to finish it up and sell it which is how Doug ended up getting his shot to pull the trigger to own such a beauty that he had lusted over for years.

Down in the video below, we get to see the truck as it sits today. This absolute showpiece of a pickup features a 3 valve engine from a 2008 Ford Mustang that was actually provided to the builder directly from Ford. To make things even more interesting, the whole operation is topped off with a Whipple supercharger to really bring the truck to life.
