WhistlinDiesel Shows Off Twin Duramax Powered “MONSTERMAX 2” – Initial Testing and Update
When it comes to some of the projects that we see on YouTube, there are most certainly some ambitious endeavors out there. The platform has really given creators of space to show just how far they can stretch out their mechanical know-how, creating machines that are almost beyond belief.
One example of a machine like this that really pushes the limits is that of the Monstermax 2. Believe it or not, the truck that is now a towering monster truck once started off life as its owner’s daily driver. After WhistlinDiesel gave this truck the full gamut of abuse, of course, it would break time and time again. However, that didn’t stop WD from building it back bigger and stronger every time. One thing led to another and the once daily driven Duramax diesel powered Chevrolet Silverado is now a monster truck.
This isn’t just any monster truck, though. That would simply be too easy. Instead, what we see here is a monster truck that’s powered by not one but two diesel engines. With this comes a pretty high level of complication as making everything work together is a bit of a challenge. In addition to the two engines, we also find two transmissions and lots of complicated electronics that attempt to tie everything together to work in unison. When modifying a vehicle, it can sometimes be a challenge to make everything work properly with one engine. Just imagine adding a second engine and all of the engineering that goes alongside that.
This time, our host brings us up to speed with exactly what has been going on with the truck. Apparently, the build has run into a couple of snags and the WD crew is looking for an experienced helper to tie everything together. In addition to giving us the update on the truck, we also get to see some initial testing that gives fans of the build a little bit of a teaser as to what might be coming next.
