2014 Mustang GT Gets WRECKED Mid-Race in Street Outlaws: Locals Only

During the thrilling Street Outlaw: Locals Only show, our beloved hosts Farmtruck and AZN embark on a journey across the No Prep Kings circuit. Rather than actively participating in the adrenaline-pumping races with the best no prep competitors in the game, they seize the opportunity to explore the local scene and shine a spotlight on talented racers and their impressive rides from all corners of the country.

In this episode, our destination is the city of Houston, TX, where a rivalry as old as drag racing itself takes center stage: Chevy versus Ford.

In one lane, we are introduced to the mighty 1968 Chevrolet Camaro, driven by Luis. This beast of a machine is powered by a formidable big-block Chevrolet engine, enhanced by the sheer force of nitrous. Standing in direct opposition is a 2014 Ford Mustang, piloted by Eric, featuring a powerful small-block Ford engine complemented by a twin-turbo setup.

Unfortunately, during this situation we meet one of the inherent risks of drag racing which is the potential for things to go awry in the blink of an eye, resulting in significant damage. This risk is especially amplified when high horsepower combinations clash on a no-prep surface, which tends to be more treacherous and slippery compared to a traditional drag race track.

Regrettably, in this particular race, it appears that Eric’s Mustang veered slightly out of the racing groove, causing the car to slide sideways. The consequences were devastating, as the Mustang not only made contact with the wall but also collected Luis and his Camaro in the process. Thankfully, both drivers emerged from the incident unharmed. Nevertheless, witnessing such a turn of events is always disheartening, particularly when we consider the immense amount of time and effort invested by racers to bring their finely tuned machines to the track on race day.
