America’s Big 3 Take on New Truck Tug-of-War
There are few tests out there that really put a truck to the test in a variety of different categories like the tug-of-war. Sure, the test might be a little bit crude, depending on factors like driver error. However, we think it’s a good steppingstone to see who the king is when it comes to everything from traction to pulling capability.
Now, most of the time, when we see a tug-of-war initiated, it’s coming from something that’s been highly modified or perhaps some trucks that look like they wouldn’t mind taking a little bit of abuse – clunkers if you will. At the end of the day, there aren’t too many folks out there who want to subject their brand new pickup trucks to a beating like this. At the end of the day, this sort of shock on the driveline isn’t going to happen to most new pickup trucks. Those replacement parts are expensive if you break them!
This time, though, thanks to the crew over at carwow, we get to see a couple of new pickup trucks going to the test in a way that we don’t really see all that often.
In this particular challenge, we get to see the test that’s old as time but just so happens to cross over into a rivalry that’s maybe just a little bit older. We’re talking, of course, about the American pickup truck rivalry that takes the likes of Chevrolet, Ford, and RAM, putting them head to head to head.
Down in the video below, we check in with this pure test of muscle that puts these machines to the ultimate test, really giving us an awesome adventure to sink our teeth into, all while getting an idea of who the king might just be.
Before watching, who do you think is taking home the crown?
