Camper Trailer Doesn’t Fit in Drive-Thru, Driver Rages His Way Through Anyway
If at first you don’t succeed then just keep trying to cram your trailer into a drive-thru that it doesn’t fit in. Wait, that’s not how the saying goes.
Apparently, though, for the owner of one heavy duty Ford pickup truck, that was his motto on this particular day. As the individual pulled into what appears to be the drive-thru for a Dairy Queen restaurant, he would soon discover that perhaps his rig didn’t fit.
It wasn’t the truck that was causing the problem but instead the camper trailer that he was pulling behind it that didn’t quite meet the requirements for the width of the drive-thru.
Now, it is noteworthy that this is definitely an embarrassing situation to be in but could happen to just about anybody with a trailer. In fact, I’ve been in a similar situation myself but fortunately, driving over a curb solved it without any damage done. I certainly wouldn’t try what this driver did.
For this driver, he wouldn’t be so lucky as the drive-thru was incredibly close to the building. Instead of taking his time to figure out a solution, it seems as if the man behind the wheel here just simply panicked or got impatient. As video cameras were rolling from a variety of different angles, we watch as the driver throttles down, hoping for the best, then completely destroys his trailer and probably the building as well in the process.
If there’s one thing that we definitely learn from a situation like this, it’s that one should be better safe than sorry when it comes to driving with a trailer. While confidence is certainly a good thing to have, especially when behind the wheel in a situation like this, overconfidence can certainly find ways of getting you in big trouble.
