Paul Walker’s Gift To Younger Brother Cody Deemed “Unsafe”

Paul Walker took away a classic car from his younger brother over fears it wasn’t safe enough to drive..

Cody Walker, the younger sibling of the late “Fast & Furious” icon Paul Walker, is embarking on a quest to locate and restore a vintage car that Paul bestowed upon him during his teenage years but later retracted due to safety concerns.

Paul, who tragically lost his life in a car accident in Santa Clarita, Calif., in 2013 at the age of 40, gifted Cody with a vehicle before his untimely demise. The car in “question” was a 1964 Chevy Nova wagon, a modest yet cherished possession for Cody, who was just 15-and-a-half years old at the time.

However, Paul had reservations about the car’s safety features, particularly its outdated brakes and suspension system, as well as the absence of modern safety measures like headrests and seat belts. Concerned for Cody’s well-being, Paul made the difficult decision to reclaim “the car”.

Despite Paul’s intentions to refurbish and enhance the car’s safety features, the project never came to fruition. Tragically, Paul’s passing left the car in disarray, scattered in numerous pieces among his various automotive projects.

Years later, with the aid of a family friend, Cody discovered the scattered remnants of the car, lamenting its current state of disassembly and expressing a fervent desire to reconstruct it. Determined to honor his brother’s memory and fulfill their shared vision for the car, Cody is committed to locating and restoring the vehicle to its former glory.

Cody’s journey to revive the classic car serves as a poignant tribute to his brother’s legacy and their cherished bond. As Cody continues his quest, he remains steadfast in his determination to bring the car back to life, preserving Paul’s memory and their shared passion for automobiles.

Meanwhile, Cody, along with his wife Felicia Knox, welcomed a new addition to their family last year, naming their child Paul in honor of the beloved actor, Paul Barrett (‘Bear’) Walker. Cody told PEOPLE: “My brother, Paul, was Paul William Walker IV and that name goes back four generations. “Within the family, he went by ‘Little Paul’ or ‘Paul 4,’ even though he quickly outgrew our father in height. It was important to me to have that name carry on.”

This gesture reflects the enduring impact of Paul’s legacy on his loved ones and fans alike, as they continue to celebrate his life and legacy through various endeavors, including the upcoming FuelFest event in West Palm Beach, Fla., where Cody will co-host alongside Paul’s “2 Fast 2 Furious” co-star Tyrese Gibson.

FARMTRUCK AND AZN BOUGHT PAUL WALKER’S ’63 NOVA WAGON

We would wager that if we asked the entire car community if they would like to own a vehicle owned by Paul Walker, the vast majority would probably say “Yes.” With that in mind, Farmtruck and AZN, we have to admit that we’re a little bit jealous. As it turns out, at the most recent rendition of Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale, Lot #375 the dynamic duo was able to pick up one of Walker’s vehicles.

The car in question was a 1963 Chevrolet Nova Wagon. They say that the car was one of the most beat-up of the lot. If you ask FNA or 405 Photo, though, that’s quite alright. It would fit into their collection rather nicely.

Once we heard that the dynamic duo was getting their hands on one of the cars from Walker’s collection, we couldn’t help but wonder what was coming next. First things first, they have to go out and pick it up. Right from the start, it seemed like this was going to be a struggle. Mechanical issues with the tow rig would prohibit them from getting out there right away. However, where there’s a will there’s a way.

With a replacement rig, they would be on their way to Scottsdale to pick up their new-to-them Nova. Farmtruck couldn’t make it but AZN and Lou were able to journey out into the desert for the adventure. AZN looked exactly how we would picture a kid in a candy store as he was walking around the show. When he finally found the vehicle that was to be added to his garage, his eyes lit up.

Moments like these that we live for as car enthusiasts. By following along with the video below, we get to join in the exhilarating journey that takes us to Barrett-Jackson.

We weren’t given any of the details as far as plans go with the car. However, AZN did admit that the crew has been bouncing around some ideas that they’re really excited about.

Jennifer Lopez And Ben Affleck Abandon Car! Flat Tire Disrupts Afternoon Date …

In a scene straight out of a Hollywood movie, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s romantic afternoon drive turned into a high-profile drama when their silver BMW encountered a flat tire, halting their couple’s outing abruptly. The incident occurred last Saturday as the lovebirds were cruising around Los Angeles, enjoying each other’s company.

Witnesses reported seeing the couple leisurely driving through the streets of LA, with Affleck behind the wheel and Lopez by his side. Their BMW, a symbol of luxury and sophistication, seemed to be the perfect vehicle for their glamorous outing. However, fate had other plans in store for the duo.

As they were making their way through the city, a sudden thud and the sound of air hissing caught their attention. To their dismay, they discovered that one of the tires had suffered a puncture, leaving them stranded on the roadside. Despite their best efforts to assess the damage and possibly fix it themselves, the couple quickly realized that they were facing a daunting challenge.

Affleck, clad in a casual flannel shirt and baseball cap, and Lopez, stunning in a tight black turtleneck and matching leggings, both got down to inspect the flat tire. Affleck’s shirt inadvertently lifted, revealing his infamous back tattoo, as they leaned over the car in an attempt to diagnose the problem. However, their efforts proved futile, and it became evident that they needed outside assistance.

With no other option left, Lopez and Affleck reluctantly abandoned their beloved BMW and called for a ride to pick them up. As they bid farewell to their luxury vehicle, which now stood forlornly by the roadside, the couple made their way to their next destination, determined not to let the flat tire mishap dampen their spirits.

While it remains unclear who retrieved the BMW or if it was taken to a repair shop, this incident isn’t the first time Affleck has encountered car trouble. The actor, known for his roles on the big screen, seems to have a knack for attracting vehicular mishaps, with his luck often seeming to be worse than that of the average motorist.

For fans of the couple, the flat tire incident served as a reminder that love and romance can overcome any obstacle, even a deflated tire on a sunny afternoon drive through Los Angeles. As they eagerly await the next chapter in the love story of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, one thing is for certain: their relationship is anything but flat. Recall the incident from last year when Ben’s vintage Cadillac suffered a breakdown during a scorching heat wave in Los Angeles.

Biden’s Gas Car Crackdown: Over Half of New Car Sales Must Be Electric by 2030

‘This regulation will make new gas-powered vehicles unavailable or prohibitively expensive for most Americans,’ lead industry groups say

In a significant move towards combatting climate change, the Biden administration has officially unveiled a series of stringent environmental regulations targeting tailpipe emissions from gas-powered vehicles. This initiative is part of the administration’s broader strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and address global warming.

In a joint announcement made on Wednesday, the White House and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) introduced the most ambitious multi-pollutant emission standards to date. These regulations specifically focus on gas-powered vehicles but aim to drive widespread adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) across the nation.

According to officials, the new regulations are expected to ensure that nearly 70% of all new car sales are zero-emission vehicles within a few years. This aggressive push towards electric vehicles underscores President Biden’s commitment to investing in America’s workforce and revitalizing the U.S. auto sector.

“The President’s agenda is working,” stated White House national climate adviser Ali Zaidi. “With transportation being the largest source of U.S. climate emissions, these regulations solidify America’s leadership in building a clean transportation future.”

EPA administrator Michael Regan echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of these pollution standards for advancing President Biden’s historic climate agenda while creating new job opportunities.

Under the new regulations, automakers will be required to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions, hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides, and particulate matter from new vehicles starting with model year 2027. These regulations are projected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from the transportation sector by a staggering 7.2 billion metric tons through 2032.

Administration officials anticipate a considerable shift towards electric vehicles as automakers ramp up production and sales of EVs, plug-in hybrids, and traditional hybrids. The regulations outline targets for EV sales, with expectations that 56% of light-duty car sales will be battery electric and an additional 13% hybrid by 2032.

President Biden reaffirmed his commitment to advancing electric vehicle adoption, stating, “Together, we’ve made historic progress,” referring to his ambitious goal of having half of all new cars and trucks sold in 2030 be zero-emission vehicles.

However, industry groups and Republican lawmakers have voiced opposition to the regulations, arguing that they limit consumer choice and will lead to increased costs. American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers President and CEO Chet Thompson, along with American Petroleum Institute President and CEO Mike Sommers, called on Congress to intervene and block the plan, labeling it as “wildly unpopular.”

Despite the pushback, the Biden administration remains steadfast in its efforts to accelerate the transition to electric vehicles as part of its broader climate agenda. The implementation of these regulations marks a significant milestone in the administration’s commitment to combatting climate change and reducing emissions in the transportation sector.
