One of the things that keep us coming back to drag racing over and over again is that we absolutely never know what’s going to happen. Sure, on paper, things might look a certain way. However, when push comes to shove, competitors need to put tires on the track and follow through with the hype in order to deliver.

This time, we check in with a drag racing event that showcases the roller coaster of emotions that the sport can truly deliver to us. At one moment, things can be incredibly low but if the timeline plays out in the right way, a competitor might be looking at an extraordinary high just moments later if they play their cards right. Unfortunately, though, the swing can go in the opposite direction as well.

Everything probably felt pretty good for Taylor as he lined up against a competitor, Mike Murillo in No Prep Kings action. In this particular outing, Taylor rocketed off of the line and managed to run away from his opponent all the way to victory.

However, in a snap of one’s finger, Taylor had smoke filling up the cabin of his race car as a torque converter just decided to explode.
