The “MUTT” is the Unexpected Wheelie Monster we All Need in Life
When we head to the drag strip, there are certain cars that fans expect to be doing certain things. For example, those that lift up the nose and put the rear on the back bumper usually consist of models like Camaros and Mustangs. However, every once in a while, we come across a build that really challenges the norm and shows us a new way of doing things.
This time, that looks like exactly what we’ve found as Urban Hillbilly Action Videos captured some pretty crazy footage from the WYCO Racing “Freedom Free for All” No Prep at Ozark Raceway Park in Rogersville, Missouri.
While out filming at the no prep, the camera lens focused upon something really special. The machine in question was a 1950s Ford pickup truck but this is really unlike very many other pickups that we’ve seen from the era or even pickup trucks in general, for that matter.
Even though this was a no-prep event, it seems like the truck got plenty of traction as it managed to lift the nose into the air several times. These weren’t just any little wheelies, either, as the driver really stayed in it and carried the momentum rather far down the track while the nose hung in the air.
Usually, doing a wheel stand is a formula for disaster. Not only does it put the components under the vehicle in danger, but it’s also not the most efficient way of racing, either. However, for the truck that goes by the name of “The MUTT,” the wheelstands would carry the machine all the way to the finals. Even though the driver would end up losing at the end of the day, the truck put on a heck of a show on its way to the final round.
