This is What You Get Witha “Budget” $500 Ferrari Rental

It seems like the internet can bring us just about anything that we want these days. Whether it’s something shipped overnight with Amazon or a beachfront home rented through a service like Airbnb, people are connected like never before. It’s not even just business to consumer, either. Instead, the aforementioned Airbnb connects people together if one person wants to rent out their house to another.

While Airbnb seems to have become a household name, a similar idea has spawned in the car community that might be a bit less heard of. With the app that goes by the name of Turo, people are able to rent out their own personal cars to others. Essentially, this creates an ecosystem that can help renters maybe get into a better vehicle for a little bit cheaper than they would with the rental companies that one would find at the airport. It also gives the opportunity to rent out some unique stuff instead of a typical rental car.

However, whenever people are left to deal with other people, there are bound to be some hiccups here and there. For example, the first concern that a lot of people would likely have about a service like Turo is that the car is in question might not exactly be of the highest quality.

While there are some measures within the app such as reviews to circumvent this sort of activity, it’s still can be hard to know exactly what you’re going to get.

This time, we tune in with Rob Ferretti, the owner of Gotham Dream Cars, an exotic rental car company, as he takes on a Turo Ferrari that he rented for the grand sum of $500. For those who have never rented out an exotic car, $500 is on the cheap end. In this one, Ferretti gives us an opportunity to see exactly what comes with such a price point.
